Born in 1996, she graduated with honours from the University of Milan in 2021, discussing a thesis in International Criminal Law entitled ‘The Role of Jurists in Legalizing Torture: An Assessment of the Israeli System under International Criminal Law’, supervised by Professor Chantal Meloni.
From 2018 to 2019, she carried out an exchange programme at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, focusing on courses in the Security, Peace and Conflicts curriculum. During the same period, she did pro bono work at the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court and at the Sine Qua Non research think tank, specialised in EU foreign policy in North Africa and the Middle East.
From 2019 to 2021, for the purpose of her dissertation research, she undertook a stay in Palestine/Israel, where she conducted research at the University of Haifa and interned at Al Haq (Ramallah) and Adalah (Haifa) law firms.
From May 2021 to December 2022, she worked, first as a trainee and then as a project associate, at ECCHR - European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (Berlin), International Crimes and Accountability department. She also did her internship ex art. 73 at the Court of Milan, Section G.I.P. - G.U.P., and collaborated with the Chair of International Criminal Law at the University of Milan.
Since October 2022, she has been a PhD student in criminal law at the Department of Legal Sciences Cesare Beccaria of the University of Milan and at the Humboldt-Universität Berlin, under the supervision of Prof. Chantal Meloni and Prof. Florian Jeßberger respectively. As part of her doctoral research, she was an Affiliate Researcher at the Orient Institut in Beriut from October 2023 to May 2024.
